Turning on the Style – Entrance Control Launch New Range of Turnstiles for the Corporate Office Environment Entrance Control

Entrance Control Systems are launching their new range of Fastlane speedgates, raceways and turnstiles specifically designed for entrance control in corporate office lobbies. These next generation pedestrian speedgates combines industry-leading intelligence, speed, accuracy and ¼” tailgater detection with discrete barriers for a more imposing, yet sleek visual deterrent.

The Fastlane entrance control range is all about high end aesthetics and high performance an offer incomparable security, speed of throughput and ease of use when coupled with an access control system. One of the key features of the range is that the turnstile pedestal widths are generally only 16 centimetres wide. This makes them ideal for deployment in areas with size restrictions such as lift lobbies or individual office level floors as you can get 2 lanes in a 2 metre gap including one lane being wide enough for wheelchair access. This simply isn’t feasible with any other turnstile solution.

At the company’s new product launch, Entrance Control Systems Head of Entrance Control, Michael Bystram, stated, “What we are accomplishing with the Fastlane turnstile range is really significant. Lots of building owners want to retrofit security gates into their building but with most other systems it’s just not possible due to the size of the pedestal foot print. The Fastlane plus turnstile is about a ¼ of the size of most speedgates and yet it provides incredible throughput and security performance. The size of the pedestal makes it ideal for areas where there are space constraints, such as lift lobbies and smaller building receptions.”

Regarding safety features, Fastlane optical turnstiles are unique in providing breakaway barriers, a tremendous advantage in minimizing liability and emergency egress concerns for owners. Fastlane also integrates with fire alarm systems so that in an emergency the barriers automatically open in the exit direction for safe egress. Additionally multiple safety beams monitor the area near the barrier, designed to avoid human contact with the gate. Fastlane can utilise the same slim turnstile pedestal for standard lanes as well as wider lanes for wheelchair access.
