Security meets style at One The Esplanade

Entrance Control’s speedgates provide the perfect blend of security and style at One The Esplanade, a landmark building at Perth’s waterfront Elizabeth Quay development.

A set of 16 lanes of EasyGate SPT gates in a sleek white finish, combined with destination lift control from Schindler across three floors, delivers a smart system to secure access to lifts and prevent unauthorised access at the premium office space.

Entrance Control General Manager Michael Bystram says the installation is much more than just functional.

“One The Esplanade is a prestigious location so these gates embrace the building’s aesthetic by including subtle style elements and a discrete finish that includes invisible locks and hinge capping on their barrier wings.”

The swing-door action of the EasyGate SPT model is driven by Entrance Control’s powerful Magnet Drive Motor which offers a 10,000,000 MTBF, allowing for easy fast throughput of employees and visitors alike. Colour-coded wing lights provide a visual indication to proceed when access has been confirmed.

Anchored by eminent tenant Chevron, which chose One The Esplanade as its new Australian headquarters, the prominent 29-storey building towers 135 m above sea level and stands out as one of Perth’s most technologically advanced and sustainable buildings.

Contrasting with the mirrored elegance of the main building’s exterior, the soft cream interior of the entrance podium contains a three-storey circular opening that welcomes natural light in to illuminate Chevron’s reception area. The new speedgates blend harmoniously with the elegant interior and the clever addition of delicate wood panelling creates a distinctive aesthetic balance to offer a stunning first impression to visitors.

Bystram says more owners of premium office buildings in Australia and New Zealand are trusting EasyGate SPT speedgates to provide the optimal balance between security and style. Entrance Control’s recent functional and technological revamp for the speedgates, which introduced a slimmer profile, improved electronics, a visitor access card collector and ‘stop-go’ lane light indicator, has raised the bar even further, cementing their popularity.

“Security is not just a necessity; it can be an aesthetic experience,” Bystram says.

“Our installation at One The Esplanade is a showcase of how security can seamlessly merge with architectural elegance.”

One The Esplanade prides itself on providing an employee-focused environment and its tenants can enjoy a range of premium amenities including executive concierge services, a dedicated tenant app, onsite childcare facilities, a gym and secure basement parking.

Nestling on the waterfront and boasting more than 54,000 sqm of office space, its thousands of inhabitants enjoy enviable views over the Swan River, Supreme Court Gardens and Langley Park.
