Best-selling entrance control gates sport new look for 2019

Two of Australasia’s best-selling speedgates have been redesigned to make them slimmer, more stylish and even more welcoming for visitors.

Security solutions provider Entrance Control has re-imagined its popular EasyGate SG and SR models with smaller pedestals that are 125 mm wide and either 1,320 mm or 1,000 mm long, depending on customer preferences.

Entrance Control General Manager Michael Bystram said the innovation aimed to give leisure centres and corporate offices an attractive entrance control solution that was unobtrusive and able to fit in even the smallest of spaces.

Many larger entrance control gates only allow for one entry and exit lane to be installed in some areas, which could result in wait-times during busy periods. The upgraded models often allowed for two lanes, increasing efficiency, Mr Bystram said.

“These are among the slimmest and sleekest speedgates available in Australia and New Zealand. They are some of our best-selling gates and are ideal for leisure centre operators and corporate customers that want effective security that isn’t intimidating.”

The EasyGate SG and SR models feature 835 mm high strengthened-glass barriers that swing open when a valid access card is used.

The SG model has round-edged pedestals while the SR model has square-edged pedestals. Both can be configured with wider lane widths to allow for wheelchair access and ensure compliance with Australia’s Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
