Ultra-secure customised EasyGate SPT speedgates.

Custom options for EasyGate SPT set standard for tailored security solutions

Entrance Control’s flagship EasyGate SPT speedgate offering has been enhanced with a range of optional customisations to meet the demands of clients operating in high-security or sensitive security environments.

Entrance Control General Manager Michael Bystram said the model was already one of the most secure on the market but the new optional additions, ranging from more sensors to extra-high glass barriers, meant it could now be used in an even wider variety of settings.

“We collaborate closely with each client to develop personalised security solutions to address their specific requirements, and these additions mean we can be even more flexible when it comes to our EasyGate SPT model.”

Enhanced security through customisation

The EasyGate SPT already comes standard with 36 sensors to detect unauthorised breaches, including tailgates, and 1,800mm high glass barriers with a minimal 230mm gap at the bottom to prevent climb-over and crawl-under attempts.
The additional options now available were for those customers who operated in settings outside the norm, with security needs that were exceptional.

“Our clients often face unique security scenarios that require thinking beyond standard solutions. That’s why we’ve developed multiple ways to bolster our speedgates to match even the most demanding security environments,” Bystram said.

For environments requiring maximum security, Entrance Control now offers increased barrier height options of up to 2,000mm, significantly reducing the risk of climb-over attempts. Clients can also select flag-shaped wing barrier configurations to extend above the pedestal and create ultra-secure glass walls to reduce the already minimal opportunity for unauthorised entry.

To increase perimeter security, pressure-sensing tops can now be integrated into EasyGate SPT cabinets to detect and alert security personnel to climb-over attempts. For locations facing higher risk of physical breach attempts, heavy-duty wings provide increased attack resistance up to 1059 Newton of force, ensuring the barriers maintain their integrity even after sustained violence.

In emergencies, push-through functionality allows turnstiles to be simultaneously locked against entry direction, while offering occupants easy exit by applying force, without any external signal from the access control system. Variable push-force options and operational modes to suit specific security protocols are supported.

The number of glass durability options has also expanded, with the standard toughened glass option complemented by laminate options to maintain integrity even if broken. Additionally, EasyGate SPT’s five adjustable safety and security settings allow precise configuration of sensor behaviour and barrier positioning during alarm events to optimise the balance between security enforcement and occupant safety.

“We really do have options to cover all bases,” Bystram said.

Intelligent integration capabilities

Beyond handling physical security enhancements, EasyGate SPT speedgates can be set up to integrate with a variety of access control systems to communicate different types of alarm events and trigger appropriate responses based on the level of threat.

Standard alarm notification types include general, tailgating, crossover and climb-over detection (when climb-detection tops are installed). Additional breach alarms can detect jump-over or crawl-under incidents, and other intrusion events. Warning alarms further extend monitoring capabilities with timeout alerts and obstruction notifications.

“We recognise that integration with existing security infrastructure is crucial, which is why our systems are designed to communicate comprehensively with access control systems to ensure a coordinated and complete security response,” Bystram said.

Tailored approach to client needs

For organisations seeking entrance security that adapts to their specific requirements without compromise, Entrance Control’s customisable EasyGate SPT represents the gold standard in tailored protection.

Bystram said Entrance Control embraces a collaborative approach to security design, unlike many competitors that offer limited customisation options.

“When a client approaches us with particular security concerns, we see it as an opportunity to work in partnership to demonstrate how our customisation capabilities can address those exact needs, not just approximate them.”
